The weather let up on Sunday for just enough time to celebrate opening day. We got to take some pictures, eat some donuts (thanks to Parker Home and Design), and get some new baseball cards and other memorabilia thanks to Kids Rule Sports. Brendan McCanta amazed as he sang the national anthem, Jared Mathis threw the first pitch to Brody Flores, and just like that 2023 was underway.
This year we had even more kids sign up to play baseball than last year! More teams, more games, and we need more volunteers!
We need more help than ever before!
We bet you’re wondering how you can contribute to our wonderful community and help the kids! Well, wonder no more. LHLL is a volunteer organization, and it takes a village. We always need help. If you’d like to volunteer in the snack shack or umpire a game or two, please click the links below.

When you take a video of your superstar getting a great hit or making a play in the field, please send it in to media@lhll.org.
We prefer landscape mode or 16:9 dimension videos – horizontal orientation.
We also want to feature our kids – so send in pictures and stories describing the key plays in your games.
